SOS Children's Villages has been operating in the Arab region since 1967. Our organisation is present where it's needed the most and currently operates in eight Arab countries (Algeria, Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon, Palestine: West Bank and Gaza, Syria, Sudan and Tunisia). There are around 17,000 beneficiaries in 92 different facilities. Each year, SOS Children's Villages constructs one or two new children's villages in Arab countries and opens a number of social centres, schools and other projects. Unfortunately, the needs of children and families are increasing in the region.

In order to be able to assist more children, families and their communities in the region, SOS Children's Villages has established the "SOS Arab Fund", a United Arab Emirates trust that carries out its activities throughout the Arab world. It is based on the principles of SOS Children's Villages.
The SOS Arab Fund wishes to establish a long-term presence in Gulf countries through partnerships with GCC institutions, corporations and individuals.
